What is IEEE MCBU Computer Society?

The main objective of the IEEE MCBÜ Computer Society, which is formed with the participation of members who are interested in information technologies, is to create an environment that will help the members to develop their skills based on computers, software, and information processing technology. IEEE MCBÜ Computer Society has made use of its resources to contribute to the development of various projects. In addition, it has been carrying out various activities since its establishment to provide the mentoring support, training, and discussion environment that its members need.

IEEE MCBÜ Computer Society develops the skills of its members in information technologies with the programs it organizes throughout the year. Also provides its members with the opportunity to get to know the IT closely through events such as conferences attended by experts in their fields and technical trips.

IEEE MCBÜ Computer Society is one of the most active engineering-based student branches in its field. By gaining experience with the programs it organizes, it increases the quality of its activities in the field of software and engineering with each passing year.

Java OOP Tutorial

Our Java training, which we will organize as the IEEE MCBU Computer Society, was held on our YouTube channel between March 29 - 30, between 19.30 and 21.30, starting from the basic level and continuing with the concept of Object Oriented Programming, allowing to acquire Java knowledge up to the intermediate-advanced level.

NFT & Blockchain Tea&Talk

As IEEE MCBU Computer Society, our first event in the spring term, Tea&Talk; Necati Öztaş, our valuable guest, was with us at our Tea&Talk event, which was created by the leading topics of the information age and the future, such as NFT, Blockchain and Web 3.0.

Career Days

With the career days we organize, we bring together the leading companies of Turkey with our student friends and enable them to reach various opportunities.

ARTEK

Organized for the fourth time in Manisa Celal Bayar University Ümit Doğay Arınç Cultural Center on 23 – 24 December 2021; It is our computer science themed event where we host big companies such as IBM, Aselsan and Turkcell.

Hackathon

Hackathon, our big event that we will organize at the end of the semester, is the way of people who have a certain common idea to put their innovative ideas into codes by breathing the same air in the same environment in a team work within a certain period of time.

My name is Furkan KIZILAY, I am a 2nd year Computer Engineering student. I started my IEEE MCBU career as Vice President of IEEE MCBÜ Computer Society for the period 2021-2022. During my tenure, I took part in the ARTEK'22 coordination team and gained experience in the functioning of the committee. In the ongoing process, I continue my IEEE MCBÜ career as the Co-Chair of the IEEE MCBÜ Computer Society.

I'm Göksel Çekçi, a 2nd year Computer Engineering student. I started my IEEE MCBÜ adventure in the fall semester of 2021-2022 as IEEE MCBU Computer Society Content Officer. In this process, I assumed the task of ARTEK'22 Assistant Coordinator. As of the spring semester, I continue my duty as the Co-Chair of the IEEE MCBÜ Computer Society.
