IEEE (The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers)

The Institute of the Institute of Electrical and electronics engineers, or IEEE, electrical, electronic, computer, automation, telecommunications, and in many other areas of engineering work for the development of theory and practices, non-profit, the world's leading technical organization. It is the largest professional association in the world with more than 430,000 members in about 160 countries around the world. IEEE is committed to developing technological innovation and excellence in electrical and electronics engineering.It publishes 30 percent of the world's literature in related disciplines and organizes more than 300 major conferences and 6,000 local meetings annually. More than 800 active IEEE standards, which are considered the basic guidelines for the industry, are in use today, 700 of which are under development. In addition, it operates in 334 branches in 10 geographical regions around the world and has a total of 2,669 student branches in universities located in 80 countries.

IEEE Turkey Section Student Branches

IEEE Turkey Branch in the IEEE world, consisting of 10 subregions, is the 8th branch covering Europe, part of Asia and Africa. It is located in the region. The IEEE Manisa Celal Bayar University Student Branch is a student branch affiliated to the IEEE Turkey Branch. Turkey, which has 106 Student Branches, +10000 Student Members, +14000 Professional Members, is one of the most effective branches of its region in terms of student members, student branches and activities. IEEE Turkey is divided into 3 regions: Aegean, Marmara and Central Anatolia Region.Regional meetings, camps of each committee and affinity group are organized during the year, as well as organizations such as Workshops in the middle of the year and a Congress at the end of the year.In these organizations, achievements such as the unification of people within the community, the ability of student branches to express their problems are aimed. At the same time, it leads people to develop themselves in both a technical and a social sense through camps containing information about the issues related to committees and committees, workshops, technical and social seminars.Competitions, tournaments and many social and technical events are organized by student branches during the year.At these events, which have a very friendly atmosphere, you can meet new people and create a different network of networks.

What is IEEE Manisa Celal Bayar University Student Branch?

IEEE Manisa Celal Bayar University Student Branch has taken its vision and mission from IEEE, a global and non-profit organization, and has been actively operating since 2015. The sub-units of our group are Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society, Communications Society, Computer Society, Educational Activities, Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, Twin Student Branch Project, Power and Energy Society, Robotics and Automation Society, Promotion & Design Committee, Facility Tour Committee with the Sponsorship Committee and the Women in Engineering Affinity Group, our university addresses all departments within and outside the engineering faculty. IEEE Manisa Celal Bayar University Student Branch; with more than 1200 members, traditional activities, social responsibility activities, projects and workshops, it is the most active student community of the Faculty of Engineering of Manisa Celal Bayar University. At the same time, it is one of the few student branches in Turkey that was awarded the IEEE Region 8 Exemplary Student Branch Award in 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2021.

Çoruh Aydın

Chairman of the Board

I am Çoruh Aydın, a senior year Mechanical Engineering student. I am also studying Industrial Engineering by taking advantage of the double major program. I am the Chairman of the Board of IEEE MCBU Student Branch in the 2021-2022 academic year. Prior to this assignment, I served as the Vice Chairman and Treasurer of the Board. I also served as the Chairman of the IEEE MCBU RAS. Before that, I took various roles in IEEE MCBU RAS. As a matter of fact, I have devoted myself to developing this structure that I have been involved in in my first year of university and which I describe as family, by fulfilling almost every task that can be done in the community. I have improved myself and benefited from the beautiful blessings of IEEE with the events and various activities I have organized and participated in over the years. As of 2022, I continue to work as a smart-start at Bosch Thermotechnology Manisa Factory, while continuing to do my best to improve my community.

Aylin Duba

General Secretary of the Board of Management

My name is Aylin Duba, I am a 2nd year Computer Engineering student. I started my IEEE MCBU career in 2020-2021. In my role as IEEE MCBU WIE Content Officer, I took part in content production, especially in our Minerva magazine published by our committee. I took part in ARTEK'21 coordination team in line with my personal interests and department. As a result, I have made the decision to continue my work at the IEEE MCBU with the Computer Society. Then I took over the IEEE MCBU CS Presidency for the 2021-2022 period. While I was the IEEE MCBU CS President, I had the chance to work as the ARTEK'22 coordinator. With this beautiful event, IBM, Turkcell, Trendyol, ASELSAN, Global AI Hub, Gram Games etc. I have enabled companies such as companies to share their experiences with our school students. At the same time, during this process, I tried to improve myself and my community by making trainings and various plans in accordance with the content of our committee. In line with all my experiences, I continue my IEEE volunteering as the General Secretary of the IEEE MCBU Student Branch as of the 2021-2022 Spring Semester.

İbrahim Aylak

I am İbrahim Aylak, a 1st year History student at Manisa Celal Bayar University. I am the Treasurer of the Board at IEEE Manisa Celal Bayar University Student Branch. As I approach my 2nd year in the community, I took part in many different tasks and fulfilled the responsibilities of these duties. I worked as a Promotion & Design Coordinator for a long time. With the work we have done in this field, we aimed to move our community further and to increase the brand value. At the same time, I carry out activities in the field of Graphic Design, which is my profession. I am open to self-development and learning, and I enjoy it.

Buse Yağmur Metiner

I am Buse Yağmur Metiner. I am a 3rd year student of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Manisa Celal Bayar University. I started my IEEE MCBU career in the 2019-2020 period. After I started my duty as the IEEE MCBU WIE vice president, I was elected as the IEEE MCBU WIE president in the 2020-2021 term and our magazine Minerva and I pioneered the creation of beautiful works such as Impressive Women in Companies'21, which we wanted to traditionalize. At the same time, I took on duties such as WIESUMMIT coordinator and WIENEWS editor as a member of the IEEE TRSB WIE Project and Activity team. Subsequently, I took over the position of vice-president of the board 2021-2022 term.

Burakcan Çetin

Hello, I'm Burakcan Cetin. I am a 1st year Mechanical Engineering student. I started my IEEE career in 2020-2021 as IEEE MCBU EMBS Promotion and Design Team Member. Afterwards, I took on the role of Promotion and Design Assistant Coordinator. While continuing my IEEE career as the director of the IEEE MCBU Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society in the 2021-2022 period, I also work for our community as the Project Coordinator of the Board.

Ceyda Yıldız

Vice Chairwoman of the Board

I am Ceyda Yıldız, 2nd year Bioengineering student. I first worked as a Promotion & Design and Social Media Officer in the Educational Activities Committee within the IEEE MCBÜ Student Branch, which I joined in the 2020-2021 term. I created posts and stories according to the concept of our committee. I was the director of our webinars organized on YouTube. I took an active part in the STAR & GOG project jointly organized by IEEE MCBU EA and IEEE MCBU WIE. I left behind a full year with our IEEE MCBU EA team. I have duly fulfilled my duties in order for the online process to be efficient. When we moved to the 2021-2022 Term, I took part as the Co-Chair of the IEEE MCBÜ Facility Tour Committee in order to contribute to the network formation of our school students and to see the field studies in the sector. In line with all this experience and knowledge I have gained, I continue my duty as IEEE MCBU Student Branch Vice President 2021-2022 Spring Term.
