What is IEEE MCBU Educational Activities?
With the power of being a social committee, IEEE MCBU Educational Ectivities carries out its activities in the most successful way. EA continues to show the IEEE MCBU SB among the successful communities, just like in the past years, on the way to its mission and vision.
The EA, a social committee from the subdivisions of the IEEE community, deals with education policy. While aiming to increase the interest of pre-university and university-age students in science and engineering, to make them love science and engineering, by providing relevant trainings beforehand, and then by implementing technical projects depending on these trainings, it also aims to develop our country's education system and to develop our students in the fields of science and engineering. IEEE Turkey Educational Activities continues its activities on a voluntary basis with its 3000+ members in 61 different universities. The EA Committee reached more than 9000 different students and provided training to these students through various activities and projects.
Its target audience is pre-university students (primary, secondary, high school), IEEE members and university students, teachers and the general public.

Our Events
Events we organize within IEEE MCBU EA
Solidworks Education and 3D Printer Workshop
It is an event organized by IEEE MCBU Educational Activities for community members. We provide Solidworks training, which is a technical drawing program for the engineering students. In addition, we print the created designs from 3D Printers and present them to our participants. We make the event more enjoyable with raffles.
Gelecekteki Sen Tea&Talk
It is an event that the committee wants to traditionalize, and it was held online for the first time in the 2020-2021 period. The purpose of the event; We bring engineers who are graduates of our school, who are experts in their fields, to our school and ask them questions. In this way, we see what awaits us engineer candidates in the future.
Hour of Code
In this project, we aim to increase their interest in coding in a fun way while teaching primary and secondary school students the most popular software and algorithm logic, which has an important place in every field in our age. We carry out the event with Scratch and other entry-level coding applications. With participation certificates and gifts, we realize a project that will be remembered.
Look up Your Future School
In our project, we aim for high school students, who are our future, to visit the campus of our university and to make more accurate university choices in the light of the information they have acquired. In the event, we aim to give high school students different perspectives by showing the Faculty of Engineering, campus, laboratories and technopolis.
Science and Engineering Experiments
It is a project where we do science and similar experiments with primary and secondary school students and tell them about these experiments. Within the scope of the project, we select primary and secondary school students as the target audience. Depending on the experiments they set, the training branches conduct experiments at all levels, and we conduct these experiments as a one-day workshop (practice) at schools.
EPICS Projects
EPICS in IEEE aims to develop the skills of university students and pre-university students who will take part in the projects while producing solutions to social problems, and to develop them in education, social aid, humanitarian services and environmental issues. In addition, thanks to the program, the sustainability of the projects that are entitled to receive funding is ensured.
